The Great American Midwestern Road Trip.

So fun when spent with an Irish Hottie.
Remember my latest boy crush? Well... I should say 'man crush' because he is no boy :-)
Anywayyyyyy so he called me a few weeks ago and said, "Pack your bags, I'm picking you up in an hour for a Great American Midwestern Road Trip." I was like, "Huh?"
But soon I warmed to the idea and o-my-g I'm so happy I did! We had just taken that trip to Maine, so I was surprised to hear from him so soon, but I gots to say... I like the persistence! And he's so darn cute! So he picks me up and we head east to Cleveland. Cleveland? If I could think of the most romantic city to spend a night in, it would def not be Cleveland. I mean, they don't even have Lebron James anymore (what you think I don't know sports? Helloooo boys like sports and I like boys... you can make the connection).
But we're driving through downtown Cleveland and it is beautiful, I mean really pretty! The skyline proudly stands tall against the backdrop of Lake Erie. It is a very dope scene. We're driving parallel along the Lake and decide to park next to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and take a peek around. The museum was closed, but after further wandering we stumbled upon this street fare at a pier right on Lake Erie! The sun was setting and reflecting this gorgeous dusk sky and let me tell you... it was so effing romantic. We held hands and walked along the pier, we smooched in front of these ancient pirate-ship looking vessels along the water and finally we strolled back to the car and took in the scene for a few more minutes.
Hm. The unexpected can sometimes turn out to be something you needed all along. Maybe that means we (as in humans) don't have to stress out about finding the perfect job or perfect boyfriend or perfect night out... sometimes, these things have a way of coming to you.
Woah that was some heavy stuff right? Yeah... after my third glass of Cabernet Sauvignon I start to get all philosophical with life. Ha. I love it. Next week: Chicago!
