Hello Darlings. I know you’ve been expecting me, what with the weather changing and all. Time to put away that horrid puffy coat and breathe some life into your style again! Excited? I know I am.

This spring, the fashion world is highlighting some of my favorite looks – and they’re so wearable you won’t feel ridiculous stealing a look right off the runway. From neons to pastels, from ultra modern to vintage inspired, this spring is all about classic elegance with a hint of whimsy! Here’s my list of must-haves to complete your Spring 2012 wardrobe.

Neons

Neons are huge this spring, and the easiest way to add a pop of color to your wardrobe is to accessorize! Go with a neutral dress and pump it up with some pink pumps, or a brightly colored bag. My obsession right now is this tangerine Kate Spade bag. Orange is the staple color of the season, so don’t miss out!

Pretty Pastels

Neon a little too much for you? Head in the opposite direction and rock some pretty pastels! Pale pink, lavender, and sunny yellow will keep you feeling sweet and classic. But my favorite? Mint Green! And believe it or not, mint looks great with just about every skin tone. It’s also a little more fun than your basic garden party palate.

Summer Short Suits

This is a great way to look sophisticated and summery all at once. Paper bag shorts and tailored jackets are a fun combination, and you’ll feel super sexy-yet-appropriate in your leggy ensemble.

Gimme Some Gatsby

The roaring 20s are making an appearance this spring, with bold art deco prints, dramatic beading and metallics, and lots of fun to go around. Intricate beading, loungey dresses, and fun prints burst with playful sophistication, and feel remarkably modern.

Peplums

Accentuate your waist and exaggerate those sexy curves with peplums! The style is cinched at the waist and flares out over the hips for one of the most flattering feminine styles this spring. Go extreme, or take it down a notch with a subtle blazer. I know it feels less “ready to wear” than the trends above, but be brave - you won’t regret it!
